DESCRIPTION
The GT Aerostar prefilters have been designed specifically for use in gas turbine inlet air systems and are available in several versions to suit existing site conditions and systems. Attention to the concerns and operating requirements of gas turbine owners and operators has been paramount in the development and design of these prefilters. Media have been selected to allow high arrestance values, low pressure drops on clean elements and high dust holding capacities. These features provide fuel savings and long life for both the prefilter and the high efficiency barrier filter.

APPLICATIONS
These prefilters are for use as a first or intermediate stage filter in a gas turbine inlet air cleaning system. Their purpose is to filter out the larger airborne particles, allowing the more costly high efficiency element to handle only fine particulate and thus extend its life.
